About Your Instructor
Hi, my name is Tina! It's so nice to meet you.
As a native German speaker with several years of experience teaching German as a foreign and second language, I bridge the gap between structural grammar and real-world cultural nuance. My teaching experience includes working at a German institution and a language school. I also worked at a private international university as a career development adviser and teacher, supporting students from diverse global backgrounds. Whether guiding a private student, preparing an ambassador or their staff, or helping someone navigate official dialogue, my approach prioritizes clarity, adaptability, and an inclusive learning environment.
My academic background and official licenses provide a rigorous framework for my teaching methodology:
- Several years of experience teaching German as a foreign and second language at a vocational training center, a language school, and privately
- Background as a career development adviser at a private international university
- Official Examination Licenses: ÖIF B1 Integrationsprüfung, ÖSD A2, and ÖSD B2
- Specialized Test Preparation Provider for ÖSD, ÖIF, and telc
- MA degree in Cultural Differences and Transnational Processes
- BA degree in Social Anthropology
- Certified Teacher Training in German as a Foreign Language / German as a Second Language (DaF/DaZ)
- Certified in Gender & Diversity Management
- Flexible delivery: Online worldwide, or in-person in Vienna (at my private apartment in 1160 Vienna, embassies/residencies, or company premises). Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Frequently Asked Questions
I teach both children and adults, ranging from absolute beginners through A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1. Every lesson is individually tailored to your current proficiency level, personal learning goals, and the specific real-life or professional contexts in which you plan to use German.
For private learners, sessions are held in my private apartment in 1160 Vienna. For diplomatic clients, sessions take place at the embassy or official residence; corporate sessions are conducted directly on your company premises. All classes can be held online.
Yes, of course! I teach online as well. You are also welcome to flexibly switch between in-person and online sessions depending on your availability and schedule.
I hold official examination licenses for the ÖIF B1 Integrationsprüfung, as well as the ÖSD A2 and ÖSD B2 exams, giving me extensive experience in conducting official examinations at these levels. Additionally, I am thoroughly experienced with exam preparation for all other levels (including telc and C1 formats).
I focus primarily on Standard German, but I will always introduce relevant Austrian vocabulary, regional idioms, and everyday expressions whenever helpful. For instance, knowing "das Sackerl" alongside the standard "die Tüte" will make navigating daily life in Austria much smoother and more natural.
German is the main language of instruction to maximize your immersion and progress—even if you are not fluent yet. However, I speak English fluently and we can easily switch to English whenever needed. The ultimate goal is to build your confidence, and making mistakes along the way is an essential part of learning!

What students say
Personal support, more confidence, and lessons students enjoy.
“Learning German with Tina was a truly wonderful experience. She is not only an excellent and dedicated teacher, but also a warm, empathetic and patient person who genuinely cares about her students and loves what she does. She always took the time to explain things clearly, answer every question, and offer help and support beyond the classroom. Her great sense of humor, open-mindedness and positive energy made the lessons both enjoyable and engaging. I learned more with Tina than with any other teacher, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly!”
“Tina, my German teacher is an exceptionally kind, caring, and creative person who is always willing to help and support others. Her teaching style is truly unique, engaging, and inspiring, making every lesson both enjoyable and interesting. Thanks to her special approach and creative teaching methods, I developed a genuine interest in learning German and made remarkable progress. What I appreciated most was the creativity, enthusiasm, and variety she brought to every lesson. I highly recommend her as an outstanding teacher:)”
“I moved to Vienna unexpectedly, and the German language quite literally landed on my head. At 40, starting to learn a completely new language is not always easy, and sometimes motivation alone simply isn’t enough. I feel incredibly lucky to have met Tina on this challenging journey. Her charisma, teaching style, and incredible initiative have made every lesson engaging, insightful, and truly productive. She is one of those rare teachers who can turn learning a language into something you genuinely enjoy. 😇 Being Tina’s student is a real stroke of luck — and a guarantee of success. 😇”
“If you're looking for someone to actually help you make sense of German, I honestly can't recommend Tina enough. The truth is, German can be an incredibly intimidating language to learn, but she has this amazing way of breaking things down so it feels totally manageable. Her classes are highly structured, yet somehow it always just feels like you're learning from a friend who genuinely wants to see you succeed.”
“Finding a teacher who balances being this deeply rigorous with being so warm and encouraging is rare. Working with her has been an absolute pleasure!”
“Before we started working together, I felt a bit stuck, but she completely took my skills to the next level. And that is mostly because of how closely she pays attention. She’d catch those deeply ingrained mistakes—the ones I didn't even realize I was making—and instead of just correcting me and moving on, she would build these entirely personalized little exercises just for me to practice and overcome them. Also, the focus on my actual career needs was a total game-changer. As a foreign architect, trying to communicate complex design ideas in a new language can be pretty overwhelming. But we worked hard on polishing my pronunciation so I'd sound more natural, and she massively expanded my vocabulary to cover the specific architectural and technical terms I actually use on the job. It felt like I was being handed the exact linguistic tools I needed to walk into a client meeting or step onto a site with total confidence.”
